About the author
Aris Gaaff (1949) lives and works in the international capital of peace and justice: the Hague, the Netherlands. In his career, he specialised in public finance, social cost-benefit analysis and policy evaluation.
Over the last two decades, and especially since his retirement in 2013, he published and lectured on various First World War topics. His interest and expertise focusses on finance and (geo-)political decision-making. He is an active member and part of the Board of the Dutch Western Front Association.
